Have you ever opened your pack to grab your gourd and found it cracked or even broken in multiple pieces? I have. On more than one occasion. This gourd solves that. The finish is beautiful. The powder coating has taken some abuse and you’d never know it. It still looks brand new. It’s little lighter than I expected which is great for hikes or sipping in remote locations. I like this gourd even more than I expected too. If you’re on the fence, do it. You won’t regret it.

Great cup, its easy to clean and super sturdy. And the polymer used for it is amazing, it doesn’t get stained by the Mate. Okay so lets talk about the elephant in the room, its not a natural gourd, true. But stop to think about what a natural gourd provides: woody notes. The Mate this brand sells is clean and not smoked, so the taste is clear and crisp, if you put a double dose like I do, its down right pungent, but its amazing quality. So what i will say is this is a great buy for eveyone, once you have a higher dedication to the Yerba, then try to investigate Gourds to see if its for you, the responsibility with those is higher. And the reward is a woody note that usually replaces the pungency, for a complex drinking experience. However this cup is my go to when im on the go, indestructible and fits in oversized cupholders.
